About

Dr. Shannon Russell is a licensed Physical Therapist with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Rutgers University. She is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and a Certified Performance Nutrition Coach through the Clean Health Institute. She has over 9 years of experience in the health and fitness industry.

As an athlete herself for over 17 years; Dr. Shannon has always looked for ways to improve her performance, health, and body image. Struggling with her weight as early as high school, she found flexible eating and tracking macros was the key to both the physique and performance she desired. She understands how much of a battle it can be both physically and mentally to change your body. She has found success through proper nutrition and strength training.

As a sports physical therapist, Dr. Shannon’s clientele includes active adults and athletes who are being limited by their pain and injuries. She specializes in working with clients who have tried traditional PT and other rehab methods without success because she seeks to find the root cause of your issues.  She loves seeing her clients overcome their pain and limitations from the deepest level and progress back to their training goals.

Dr. Shannon started her own online business in 2022 in an effort to share her knowledge of nutrition, strength training and physical therapy with people struggling to meet their health and fitness goals. Many of her clients don’t know where to start, need accountability, are looking to level up their performance or have an injury preventing them from reaching their goals. She takes every factor into consideration to build a personalized plan for success.

Dr. Shannon competes in beach volleyball at the semi-pro level and she loves to go to the beach, weight train and spend time outdoors.
